Or have we gone back to the era where genders were associated with colors and dominance?<\/h6>\n<p>The internet has been divided yet again on the controversial ad of Gillette.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/koPmuEyP3a0\" width=\"560\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The brand tried to take a positive spin on the whole #MeToo agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The height of toxic masculinity has reach a new high: Gillette commercial.<\/p>\n<p>People are losing their shizzle and cool over the ad because they think it affects the ecosystem that the brand revolves around.<\/p>\n<h2>The Razor Has Cut Deep And The Wounds Are Fresh And Open!<\/h2>\n<p>The ad spotlights bad male behavior &#8211; and the insecure rubes on the internet can\u2019t handle it!<br \/>\nGillette didn&#8217;t just condemn bad behavior, something most men do whenever they see it \u2013 it suggested the behavior represents the norm.<\/p>\n<p>And I think it\u2019s true, it\u2019s what society has come down to?<\/p>\n<p>The commercial also indirectly shines a light on the #MeToo movement.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the cowardly media, scared of the social media mob, goes against the ad.<\/p>\n<p>Can you blame anybody if they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialchamp.com\/blog\/i-hate-social-media\/\">hated social media<\/a> because they don\u2019t like the ugly side of it!<\/p>\n<h4>Why Can\u2019t People See The Big Picture?<\/h4>\n<p>They are actually portraying how MEN are the ones changing the controversial general thought about the male gender!<\/p>\n<p>Most shaving advertisements highlight gravelly voiced men swelling out their masculinity (read: insecure masculinity).<\/p>\n<p>And when Gillette commercial comes forward with an ad that puts forward basic human decency, it\u2019s unacceptable?<\/p>\n<p>All hell breaks loose?<\/p>\n<p>There are clips of @terrycrews, a sexual assault survivor, affirming in front of Congress that men need to hold other men responsible and accountable. #MeToo #GilletteAd<\/p>\n<p>The advertisement indicates men doing just that: warding off a pack of bullies. And limiting another guy from harassing a woman.<\/p>\n<h6>Why has toxic masculinity stopped a certain group to boycott the grooming brand?<\/h6>\n<p>\u201cWe expected a\u00a0debate,\u201d Pankaj Bhalla, Gillette\u2019s North America brand director,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2019\/01\/14\/business\/gillette-masculinity-ad\/index.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">told\u00a0CNN<\/a><em>,<\/em> although, we\u2019re not sure that boycotts from hate groups are exactly what Bhalla had in mind.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"modern-quote full\"><p>Bhalla specifically says that \u201cThe ad is not about toxic masculinity. It is about men taking more action every day to set the best example for the next generation.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The new Gillette commercial asks the human race to be more civil.
