Double Tap

[ doub‧le tap ]

In social media language, the double tap is a way to convey to ‘like’ a post. Not all, but some social media platforms, including Instagram, allow users to either click the heart icon to like a post or simply double tap to do so. Different brands run a campaign or boost a post to promote ‘double tap’ on their featured posts to direct organic engagement. Double taps are an effective way to increase engagement and also an effective way to ask then asking to ‘like’ a post.

Example

‘What should be our color palette for the fall?

Let us know in the comments below, and do not forget to double tap the post :D’

An example of a luxury loungewear brand politely asking for double taps!
