Snapchat has officially announced the 2026 launch of its next-gen AR glasses, Specs, aiming to lead the wearable tech race ahead of competitors like Meta and Apple.

These new Spectacles will feature AI-powered, full AR capabilities with no phone, tether, or external puck required.
Users will experience real-time digital overlays on their surroundings, along with features like AI assistance, gaming, streaming, and interactive tools — all packed into a sleeker design than earlier models.
Snap’s CEO, Evan Spiegel, calls Specs “the most advanced personal computer in the world.”
With over 8 billion AR interactions per day already happening on Snapchat, the company hopes its loyal user base will drive adoption.
Snap plans to release more details on pricing and features closer to launch.
