TikTok has rolled out a new badge system to highlight trusted sellers and boost in-app shopping confidence.

These badges appear on seller profiles, product pages, LIVEs, videos, and search results to help users identify reliable shops.

Here’s what the badges mean:

  • Official Shop: Certified sellers of specific products
  • Authorized Seller: Approved sellers of select items
  • Gold Star Seller: Shops with a Shop Performance Score (SPS) of 90%+ and 80%+ positive feedback
  • Silver Star Seller: Same as Gold, but with slightly lower metrics
  • Top Brand: Recognizes brand popularity and service quality

To qualify, sellers must have at least one active listing and meet service benchmarks.

TikTok says the new system aims to boost transparency and trust, encouraging better service while enhancing the shopping experience.

With in-app sales growing—especially during events like Black Friday—the badges could play a key role in TikTok’s eCommerce evolution.
