X (formerly Twitter) has rolled out new updates to make Community Notes more fair and reliable.

The platform can now detect if people are working together to influence the system, such as groups voting in a coordinated way to promote or block a note.
When such activity is found, X will treat those votes as coming from a single person, which means they won’t help the note reach “Helpful” status.
This change is important because many Community Notes don’t get published due to disagreement or manipulation, especially on hot topics like politics, gender, and health. With this update, X hopes to make sure that important notes with real context reach users.
