Inbox

[ in-boks ]

An inbox is a place where you can store email messages, usually in a program such as Microsoft Outlook or Gmail. Inboxes are often sorted by date, with the most recent messages appearing at the top.

It is the default folder where new messages are delivered unless you set up filters to deliver them to a different folder. This can include messages from friends, family, and businesses. Inboxes can be found on many other social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. They are usually private, and only the user who receives them can see them.

Example

For example, on Facebook, users can send each other private messages. These messages can be found in the inbox and are common on other platforms, such as Twitter and Instagram.
