Agency Listing Guidelines

Brands come here trusting they'll find real, vetted agencies. These guidelines protect that trust, and your work.

1 Who can list

Your agency may apply to be listed if you meet all of the following:

  • Operating for at least 12 months as a registered business entity (LLC, Ltd, Inc, GmbH, FZ-LLC, sole proprietorship with verifiable trading history, or local equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 employees (full-time or full-time-equivalent contractors actively delivering client work).
  • At least 5 verifiable client engagements in the past 24 months.
  • Active business website with a clear services page, a team or about page, and a working contact method that is not just a contact form.
  • Public business presence. At minimum an active LinkedIn company page or equivalent.
  • You provide social media or digital marketing services as a core offering. Examples include social media management, content marketing, paid social, influencer marketing, branding, SEO, PPC, web design, and digital strategy.
  • No active fraud claims, lawsuits, or unresolved consumer complaints against the agency.
  • Compliance with applicable laws in your operating country, including business registration, taxation, advertising standards, and data protection.

Freelancers, side projects, "starting next month" plans, and agencies that exist only as a landing page do not qualify.

2 Verification requirements

When you apply, we'll review:

  • Your business website. It must load, must clearly describe services, and must list a team or founder.
  • Your public LinkedIn company page, with active employees.
  • Two client references. We may contact one or both to confirm the engagement was real. You will be told before we reach out.
  • A short pitch or case study explaining what makes your agency different. This is also what gets you featured.
  • Domain age and ownership. We may run a WHOIS lookup to confirm legitimacy.
  • The email you submit must match your business domain. For example, [email protected] rather than [email protected]. Personal email submissions will be rejected.

Verification typically takes 24 to 72 business hours. We do not pre-review applications, so please submit only when you're ready to be evaluated.

3 Profile content standards

Once approved, your profile must follow these rules.

Accuracy

  • All claims, including client logos, case study results, team size, and founding year, must be true and provable on request.
  • Statistics and outcomes must come from work you actually performed.
  • You may not display logos of brands you have not directly worked with, even if they used a tool you sold them.

Completeness

  • The profile must include a real description. No lorem ipsum and no AI-generated filler that doesn't reflect your actual work.
  • Services listed must be services you currently deliver, not a wish list.
  • The contact email must be monitored and replied to within five business days.

Quality

  • No broken links, no placeholder text, no auto-translated content that reads poorly.
  • Images and logos must be your property or licensed for commercial use.
  • Reviews must be from real, identifiable clients. Fabricated or incentivized reviews lead to immediate removal.

4 Prohibited activities

The following will result in your listing being removed and your business being banned from re-applying:

  • Submitting fake or misleading information during application or in your profile.
  • Creating multiple listings for the same agency under different brand names.
  • Listing on behalf of someone else. White-label resellers cannot list using their reseller brand if the underlying agency work is done by a separate entity.
  • Buying, trading, or fabricating reviews. Whether positive reviews for yourself or negative reviews for competitors.
  • Scraping the directory for lead generation, contact lists, or any automated extraction.
  • Contacting other listed agencies through Social Champ's platform for outbound sales, recruitment, or competitor outreach.
  • Adult content services. NSFW, escort, adult entertainment marketing, and similar are not permitted.
  • Cryptocurrency pump promotion, MLM, ponzi schemes, or gambling-affiliate marketing as a core service.
  • Black-hat SEO services, including link farms, PBN sales, cloaking, and sneaky redirects.
  • Spamming the platform. Repeated identical submissions, bot-driven traffic to your profile, or manipulative review tactics.
  • Misrepresenting Social Champ affiliation. You may say "Verified Social Champ Partner" only after approval. You may not claim certification, employment, or exclusive partnership status that doesn't exist.
  • Violating any applicable law. Sanctions, data protection (GDPR, CCPA), advertising standards, or IP infringement.

5 The 1-month free Agency Pro offer

The free month of Social Champ Agency Pro is granted to approved, verified agencies only. Specifically:

  • Activated once per agency. One trial per business entity, including subsidiaries and rebrands.
  • Begins on the approval date and runs for 30 consecutive days.
  • Requires entering payment details at the start of month two. Cancellable anytime, with no charge until the trial ends.
  • Cannot be combined with other Social Champ promotional offers, discounts, or referral credits.
  • Cannot be transferred, sold, or gifted to a third party.
  • Abuse of the trial, such as creating multiple accounts to repeat-claim the offer, results in immediate removal from the directory and a permanent ban.
  • Social Champ reserves the right to refuse or revoke the offer for any agency at our sole discretion.

6 Maintaining your listing

To stay listed:

  • Keep your profile current. Update services, team size, and case studies at least annually.
  • Respond to brand inquiries within 5 business days. Agencies with chronic non-responses will be flagged and may be unlisted.
  • Maintain the Verified badge by keeping at least one active Social Champ workspace, free or paid. Purely promotional accounts that have never been used will lose Verified status.
  • Notify us if your business is acquired, merged, dissolved, or fundamentally pivots away from your listed services.
  • Honor your representations. If you list yourself as "B2B SaaS specialists" and exclusively work with restaurants, expect the listing to be amended or removed.

7 Review and removal process

We review listings continuously, not just at submission.

  • Quarterly spot checks of randomly selected listings to confirm accuracy.
  • Brand-reported flags. If a brand reports a bad experience (no reply, misrepresentation, poor delivery), we investigate.
  • Public complaint monitoring. Formal complaints filed with regulators or BBB-equivalent bodies trigger a review.

If issues are found, we'll contact you with a 14-day window to respond and remediate. If unresolved, the listing is removed.

Egregious violations (fraud, fake reviews, illegal services) result in immediate removal without notice.

8 Our right to refuse or remove

Social Champ retains sole discretion to:

  • Approve, decline, or revoke any listing.
  • Remove any review, case study, or profile content that violates these guidelines.
  • Modify the eligibility criteria, profile fields, or featured slot system at any time.
  • Decline applications without specifying a reason.

Decisions are not subject to appeal beyond a single written reconsideration request sent to [email protected] within 14 days of notification.

9 Listing is free. Social Champ is a product.

To be clear:

  • The directory listing itself is always free, with no required upgrade, no pay-per-lead fee, and no listing renewal cost.
  • Social Champ Agency Pro is our SaaS product, with paid plans starting at $79 per month after the free trial. A paid subscription is not required to remain listed, but is required to maintain Verified Partner status.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for higher listing position, featured placement, or removal of competitors.

10 Privacy and data

By applying you agree that:

  • We may contact your listed references.
  • Your business name, public information, and submitted profile content will be displayed publicly.
  • The contact email you provide will receive brand inquiries directly. Social Champ does not intermediate or filter them.
  • We process your application data per our Privacy Policy.

11 Changes to these guidelines

We may update these guidelines at any time. Material changes will be emailed to listed agencies at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued listing after the effective date constitutes acceptance.


A note on spirit. Rules aside: this directory works because brands trust what they see here. If your agency does great work, treats clients well, and represents itself honestly, you'll have no trouble with anything above. The guidelines exist to keep out the people who'd otherwise ruin it for everyone. We're rooting for you.
