Social media API and MCP server
Create and schedule posts over REST with OAuth2 or an API key, or hand your AI agent 41 MCP tools.
Build on the platform agencies run on
Ship posts over REST
A focused API at /v1/rest: list the social profiles a token can access and create or schedule posts to them. Authenticate with an OAuth2 access token for third-party apps, or a static API key for server-to-server scripts.
- List profiles across 12+ connected platforms
- Create and schedule posts with one call
- OAuth2 for apps, API keys for scripts
An MCP server for AI agents
Point Claude or any MCP client at mcp.socialchamp.com and your agent gets 41 tools: scheduling, queues, labels, approvals, calendars, and AI generation. Rate limits are 60 requests a minute per key and 1,000 an hour per account.
- 41 tools, counted 2026-07-24
- Works with any MCP client
- Approval-scoped tools for agency workflows

Try it before you build it
The developer portal ships an OpenAPI reference and an in-browser playground. Make a real call, inspect the response, and copy the schema without leaving the docs.
- OpenAPI-powered reference
- In-browser API playground

Keys live on the Agency plan
API keys are available on the Agency plan, with up to 10 active keys per account. Zapier triggers ride the same surface, so no webhook hosting is required.

Frequently asked questions
What is a social media API?
A social media API lets software create and schedule posts across networks without using each platform’s dashboard. Social Champ’s REST API exposes the profiles a token can access and accepts post-creation calls. Your scripts and apps publish to 12+ platforms through one endpoint.
What can I build with Social Champ's API?
The API is focused on publishing. You can list connected profiles and create or schedule posts to them from your own tools, sites, or pipelines. Analytics, inbox, and workspace management are not part of the public API today, which keeps the surface small and stable.
How does authentication work?
Two ways. Third-party apps use OAuth2 access tokens with standard authorize and token flows. Your own server-to-server scripts can use a static API key sent as a Bearer header. Keys are hashed at rest, limited to ten active per account, and revocable at any time.
What is the MCP server?
The Model Context Protocol server at mcp.socialchamp.com gives AI agents structured tools instead of raw endpoints. A connected agent can schedule posts, manage queues and labels, run approvals, and generate content through 41 tools. Rate limits are 60 calls a minute per key.
Which plans include API access?
API keys can be created on the Agency plan. OAuth2 partner integrations and the Zapier triggers ride the same authenticated surface. If your plan does not include keys, the developer settings page shows the upgrade path directly.
