Opp

[op]

Opp is a social media slang for the word “opponent or enemy.” It is used to describe a person who shares a different interest or a disagreement with one person. It refers to an individual who’s in competition and a confrontational relationship with someone.

It originated from rap and hip-hop as the singers often call their opposition as Opp to make it sound cool and rhyming. It can also be used in phrases like “Opp someone out” which means to make someone your opposition.

For Example

TheHxliday has a song named Opps, and it says, “All my opps, they on the sideline”
