Ship

[ ship ]

The term “ship” is often used on social media to refer to a relationship between two people. The word is a shortened version of the word “relationship.” The term can also be used more broadly to describe any close relationship, whether it’s platonic or romantic. A ship is a relationship between two people that is supported by fans. It can be a real-life relationship, like Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, or a fictional one, like Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. People who ship a couple often create fan art or write fanfiction about them.

They might also ship them because they think the couple has good chemistry or because they want to see them happy. Shipping can be fun to engage with your favourite TV shows, movies, and books, make friends and connect with people who share your interests.
